“Since Time Immemorial: Tribal Sovereignty in Washington State” is a free, on-line curriculum developed through the OSPI Office of Native Education in collaboration with the twenty-nine federally recognized Tribes of Washington State to provide learning for EVERY student in Washington State about Tribal sovereignty and local Tribal history. All units of the sovereignty curriculum have been fully aligned to Common Core English Language Arts Standards. Lessons plans, materials, and resources are available to support elementary, middle, and high school teachers to engage students in learning Tribal sovereignty and history with relevant, reliable, interactive, place-based materials that can be incorporated with existing curriculum.
The sovereignty curriculum is available at www.indian-ed.org
