Making School Systematic Change

In today’s world, schools can become places of terror. Students are bullied in the hallways and classrooms, harassed on social media, and degraded by adults who have power over them. Many students feel unsafe because they do not know when or where an attack will happen next.

This is why we need to work together to create a more supportive environment for all students. We need systemic change that starts with us as individuals: teachers, parents, administrators, community members…everyone!
It starts with each one of us taking responsibility for how we speak about others or how we react when someone else speaks negatively about another person. The best way to support our youth is to practice empathy-the ability to understand what others are feeling without being judgmental

A school system is a complex organism with many parts. For this reason, it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact areas that need attention and change. The following are some things you should consider if looking for ways to improve your school system:
